It started leaking around the seam of the window - pretty good gash - around an inch long. I couldn't patch from the outside because of where it was in the window. I thought I'd have to drain it to where it was leaking to fix. My friend told me about this stuff and that it was waterproof and I could from the inside of the pool. I was a hard skeptic of this!!! Happy with the product.
Wow! This stuff sticks! As a first time user, it was a massive education. The previous owner of my car had sealed the sunroof shut. But the seal was old enough, it was leaking again anyway. And since it was sealed shut, I couldn't get to the drain holes to clean them out. Nobody professional would touch it with a 10 foot pole, so I was left with the most drastic of measures. To seal it this way. Even though I measured everything 3 to 4 times, it still came out with a few surprises when trying to put it on. But even cutting some of it on the fly, and also a tiny bit of overlapping when I specifically didn't want to do that, much to everyone's surprise it looks shockingly good.
This really works. I used it inside of my brick mailbox that had a few holes rusted in and was getting my mail wet. It does the trick, but bring your patience and an extra set of hands because I've never encountered tape this sticky lol.
I bought as a quick fix for leaking gutter. Winter weather and didn't have time or the inclination to take the guttering down for repair right at the time. Instructions say this tape won't repair a seam, but for me it worked perfectly. I did plenty of cleaning and prep work. I used a heat gun to warm the section of gutter so the adhesion would be good. Made the repair and it has done great for two months. This with a record setting year for rain and 2 extreme cold spells so far. I'm impressed!
We have had some snow and rain recently and the patches on the roof have held until I can get a more professional repair.
